Marian Wood Baird Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarships to deserving youngsters who have participated in the United States Tennis Association. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must have a strong involvement in extracurricular activities, course work and community service; must exhibit Financial Need; must be involved in an organized community tennis program such as USTA School Tennis, NJTL, USTA Team Tennis, etc.; must be entering first year of undergraduate work as a full-time student in a four-year college/university program; must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Criteria: Scholarship is given based on academic performance.

Funds Avail.: $15,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit in one envelope the following required forms and supporting documents: A typed or clearly printed application signed by the applicant and parent or guardian; A typed or clearly printed endorsement from a faculty member from the applicant's high school and from a coach/program director; A typed endorsement from an individual of the applicant's choice; An official high school transcript; ACT/SAT examination scores; The applicant's official financial aid form; and a current photograph of the applicant. Deadline: February 8.

Dwight F. Davis Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarships to qualified high school seniors. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school seniors with strong involvement in extracurricular activities, course work and community service; must exhibit financial need; must be actively involved in an organized community tennis program such as USTA School Tennis, NJTL, USTA Team Tennis, etc.; must be entering the first year of undergraduate work as a full-time student in a four-year college/university program. Criteria: Scholarship is given based on academic performance.
