SUVCW Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To inspire higher learning by providing educational opportunities. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Male applicants must be current members or Associate of Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War; female applicants must be the daughters or granddaughters of a current member or Associate of Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and must be current members of at least one of the following organizations: Woman's Relief Corps, Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861–1865, or Auxiliary to the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War; must rank in the upper one-fourth of high school graduating class, preferably in the upper one-tenth; must have a record of performance in activities both in school and in the community; must have a sound interest and positive attitude toward college work. Criteria: Recipients are chosen based on merit.
