Description:

State-supported, comprehensive, coed. Part of University System of Maryland. Awards bachelor's and master's degrees. Founded 1925. Setting: 144-acre small town campus. Endowment: $20.3 million. Research spending 2003-04: $3.6 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $4523 per student. Total enrollment: 6,942. Faculty: 494 (314 full-time, 180 part-time).
