Cabrillo Clubs of California Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial support to high school seniors of Portuguese heritage. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be of Portuguese descent; must have maintained a 3.50 or better GPA and be a graduating senior and citizen of the U.S. Criteria: Scholarship will be awarded based on the criteria of the Scholarship Committee.

Funds Avail.: $400. To Apply: Applicant must mail all completed application packets to: Cabrillo Civic Clubs of California, 1455 Willow St., San Diego, CA 92106-2122.

Portuguese-American Scholarship Foundation (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to qualified New Jersey students of Portuguese ancestry, who wants to further their post-secondary school education and gain greater access to a better way of life. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be New Jersey High School seniors that are Portuguese-born or that have a parent or grandparent that is Portuguese-born; must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent residents; must demonstrate financial need; must be a New Jersey high school senior applying to, or accepted in, a four-year college or university curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree; must meet the minimum PASF academic standards, including a grade point average of B or better. Criteria: Scholarship will be evaluated based on the academic achievement and financial need.

Funds Avail.: $7,000. To Apply: Application must be completed and sent to: Portuguese-American Scholarship Foundation of NJ, Chairperson, Scholarship Review Board, PO Box 7169, Colonia, NJ 07067. Deadline: February 15.
