Elizabeth Glaser Scientist Award (Other/Award/Prize)
Purpose: To allow scientists to focus on their long-term efforts on issues specific to pediatric HIV/AIDS by providing funding support for research. Focus: Acquired immune deficiency syndrome. Qualif.: Applicants must be scientists who represent the best and brightest investigators from the international medical science community. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on their knowledge, innovation, and dedication.
Funds Avail.: $682,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit completed form designed for the award.
International Scholar Awards (Postdoctorate/Award/Prize)
Purpose: To render financial support for deserving clinicians and scientists in developing countries. Focus: Acquired immune deficiency syndrome. Qualif.: Applicants must be health care professionals who have specific training or experience with HIV/AIDS; must hold an MD or PhD; and must demonstrate commitment to continuing to work in developing country on HIV/AIDS. Criteria: Preference is given to candidates from developing countries.
Funds Avail.: $57,225. To Apply: Applicants must work with a qualified experienced sponsor (faculty member with advanced degree) to oversee, provide guidance and evidence of the institution's commitment to his career development.
