Bernice Barabash Sports Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To participate in the sport while maintaining high academic standards in preparation for future educational enrichment. Focus: Athletics. Qualif.: Applicants must be students in grades seven to twelve who hold a minimum of 3.0 GPA; must play hockey during the school year; must be residing in Jackson County or surrounding communities that do not have ice arenas in the area; must plan to attend an accredited college or university program or vocational/technical institute. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on lottery draw of qualified applicants.

Dennis J. Beck Memorial Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be Ethnic minorities pursuing any field of study with special consideration given to those pursuing a degree in Manufacturing. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on demonstrated personal responsibility through work, community or family activities.
Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form and must provide a proof of acceptance at an accredited college, university, vocational or technical school.
Dorothy and Dick Burgess Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide deserving young students who might otherwise be unable to afford the opportunity to attend a smaller Michigan college. Focus: Engineering. Qualif.: Applicants must have plan to pursue a course of study that leads to a degree in earth science, engineering, premedical or Christian ministry; must have plan to complete a baccalaureate within four consecutive years; must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above; must have demonstrated good citizenship, high moral character and potential for leadership and academic success. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.
Funds Avail.: $4,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form and must provide a proof of financial need.
June Danby and Pat Pearse Education Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: Education. Qualif.: Applicants must be Jackson High School graduating senior students with cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher; must be full or part-time students in an accredited college or university majoring in the field of education. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on participation in school, community service or volunteer activities, academic performance and financial need.

Antonia Dellas Memorial Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: Education. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school senior students with a minimum of 3.35 or above GPA; must be accepted or attending an accredited Michigan college or university; must intend to enroll or are already enrolled in a school of education. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need and participation in school, community or volunteer activity.

Qualif.: Applicants must be valedictorian, salutato-rian or students with highest GPA from a smaller Jackson County High School; must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher who participates in school activities and/or sports; must have a good citizenship, leadership and outside activities including work experience. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance.

Melissa Eleonor Ernest Scholarship(Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: Cosmetology. Qualif.: Applicants must be Jackson County residents; must be adult returning to school, graduating high school senior students already enrolled in an accredited institution of Cosmetology; must be full- or part-time students with a cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Robert P. Ernest Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: General studies. Hanover-Horton High School Youth of Promise Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To recognize a Hanover-Horton students for overall achievement and scholastic excellence. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating Hanover-Horton High School senior students who hold a GPA of 3.0; must have attended the school for at least one full academic year and demonstrate good character with focused goals; must have the plan to be full-time students and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours or equivalent; must also have the plan to attend an accredited Michigan college or university. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance and financial need.

Martha and Oliver Hansen Memorial Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To recognize and encourage those who desire to enter the field of education within the intention of teaching in the classroom. Focus: Education. Qualif.: Applicants must be incoming college junior or senior majoring in Education with the intention of teaching in the classroom; must attend an accredited Michigan college or university who holds 2.5 GPA or above. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Bob and Dawn Hardy Automotive Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To help students who desire to make the automobile business their career. Focus: Automotive technology. Qualif.: Applicants must be currently enrolled full- or part-time at Jackson Community College in Automotive Service Technology, Toyota Technical Education Network, Ford Maintenance and Light Repair Associate in Applied Science program or Automotive Service Technology; must have 2.0 GPA or higher. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need and result of an interview.

William and Beatrice Kavanaugh Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating students of Grass Lake High school seniors who attended the school for the full academic year; must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher; must have plan to be full-time students and carry at least 12 credit hours or equivalent; must be accepted at an accredited college or university and demonstrated a good citizenship qualities in school and/or community. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance and financial need.

Qualif.: Applicants must be senior graduating students of Hanover-Horton High School who hold a minimum of 2.5 GPA; must demonstrate a good work history and participated in both school and extracurricular activities. Qualif.: Applicants must be Napoleon High school candidates for graduation with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher; must participated in school activities and/or sports. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance, leadership and outside activities including work experience.

The John and Marion Selby Engineering Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: Engineering. Qualif.: Applicants must intend to pursue an engineering degree in an accredited (ABET) program at a Michigan College or university; must be accepted by a college or university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on demonstrated qualifications of high merit in the areas of academics and citizenship, leadership and outside activities including work experience.

Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: Health care services. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university with a major in a medical profession; must be part or full-time students with cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance and financial need.

Faith Speckhard Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To recognize students who demonstrate motivation in their pursuit of higher education, actively involved in their community and have financial need. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be Jackson High School graduating seniors who are African-Americans or a women of any race; must have a minimum of 2.4 GPA and must be full or part-time students in an accredited college or university. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance, financial need and participation in community activities, leadership and service.

Paul Tejada Memorial Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: Health care services. Qualif.: Applicants must have plans to pursue a course of study leading to a degree in health services administration, nursing or human medicine; must be full or part-time students who maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours with a minimum of 3.0 GPA. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on demonstrated good citizenship, high moral character and potential leadership.

Barbara and Howard Thompson Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be Jackson High School graduating seniors or previous recipients who have plan to pursue a degree in History and/or political science; must be accepted at an accredited two or four-year college or university; must have 3.0 GPA. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance, financial need, demonstrated good citizenship, leadership qualities and participation in school and/or sports.

Sue Walicki Nursing Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To assist all citizens of greater Jackson in improving the quality of their lives; to support its work as a community grantmaker and community leader. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be Jackson County residents or current employees of a Jackson county health care facility; must be full or part-time students at an accredited Michigan college or university; must have plans to start, continue or advance education in the field of nursing-related field. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.
Funds Avail.: $5,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a proof of acceptance in an accredited Nursing Program and proof of financial need.
