Durwood McAlister Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide scholarship for outstanding students majoring in print journalism at a Georgia college or university. Focus: Journalism. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled full-time taking up journalism. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.
Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Scholarship application can be obtained from the GPEF website. The following documents must be enclosed in your application: most recent grade transcript; anticipated budget; school photograph; copy of SAT scores; parents'/your tax return; and recommendations of high school counselor, principal, college professor, or Georgia Press Association member. Deadline: February 1.

Qualif.: Applicant must be a junior or senior majoring in the news-editorial sequence at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. Criteria: Recipient is selected from nominations made by the University of Georgia.

Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. Criteria: The recipient is selected from three nominations submitted by the University of Georgia.
