Description: Independent, comprehensive, coed. Awards associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees (profile does not reflect significant enrollment at 6 continuing education sites; master's degree is only offered at these sites). Founded 1962. Setting: 1,000-acre rural campus. Endowment: $6.2 million. Total enrollment: 1,591. Faculty: 142 (68 full-time, 74 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 17:1. 3,347 applied, 86% were admitted. 3% from top 10% of their high school class, 16% from top quarter, 45% from top half. Community Environment: Rindge is a rural community with a temperate climate. Cathedral of the Pines, an outdoor international shrine for people of all faiths, is located here. Numerous lakes in the area provide facilities for boating and fishing. There is limited part-time work for students off campus.
