Description: Independent Mennonite Brethren, 4-year, coed. Awards bachelor's degrees. Founded 1936. Setting: 9-acre urban campus with easy access to Vancouver. Total enrollment: 510. 262 applied, 81% were admitted. Full-time: 408 students, 50% women, 50% men. Part-time: 102 students, 50% women, 50% men. Students come from 5 provinces and territories, 11 other countries, 40% from out-of province, 15% 25 or older, 65% live on campus, 4% transferred in. Retention: 84% of 2003 full-time freshmen returned. Core. Calendar: semesters. Academic remediation for entering students, ESL program, services for LD students, advanced placement, independent study, distance learning, double major, part-time degree program, co-op programs and internships.

Costs Per Year: Application fee: $50. Comprehensive fee: $10,320 includes full-time tuition ($5520), mandatory fees ($400), and college room and board ($4400). Part-time tuition: $184 per credit hour. part-time mandatory fees: $16.50 per credit hour.
Collegiate Environment: Orientation program. Drama-theater group, choral group, student-run newspaper. Student services: personal-psychological counseling. Campus security: late night transport-escort service, night watchman 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. College housing designed to accommodate 200 students; 239 undergraduates lived in college housing during 2001-02. On-campus residence required through sophomore year. Options: men-only, women-only housing available. Columbia Resource Center plus 1 other with 44,000 books, 100 serials, and a Web page. 20 computers available on campus for general student use. A campuswide network can be accessed. Staffed computer lab on campus.
