Description:

State and locally supported, 2-year, coed. Part of North Carolina Community College System. Awards certificates, diplomas, transfer associate, and terminal associate degrees. Founded 1963. Setting: 37-acre urban campus. Endowment: $13.9 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $2896 per student. Total enrollment: 16,400. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 20:1. 1,257 applied, 100% were admitted. Full-time: 5,945 students, 55% women, 45% men. Part-time: 10,455 students, 61% women, 39% men.
