Scholarships for Lutheran College Students (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To financially support Lutheran students pursuing degrees in any area of service to people with developmental disabilities. Focus: Mental health. Qualif.: Applicant must be active communicant member of a Lutheran church; have achieved sophomore status or higher at a college or university; have a 3.0 overall GPA; and have an interest in a career in the field of developmental disabilities. Criteria: Selection is based on the application.

Funds Avail.: $1500. Number Awarded: 3. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form together with an essay (1-2 pages, double-spaced) on planned career in the field of developmental disabilities; four letters of recommendations; an official college transcript; an autobiography (1 page, double-spaced); a documentation of service to people who are developmentally disabled (minimum of 100 hrs); and other materials helpful from the application. Scholarships for Lutheran Nursing Students (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To financially support Lutheran students pursuing degrees in nursing and planning to serve people with developmental disabilities. Focus: Mental health; Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be an active communicant member of a Lutheran church; achieved sophomore status or higher at a college or university, or completed one year of a two-year ADN program; have a 3.0 overall GPA; and have an interest in working as a nurse in the field of developmental disabilities. Criteria: Selection is based on the application.
