Alpha Kappa Alpha - Educational Advancement Foundation Financial Need-Based Scholarships (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial support to undergraduate and graduate students for the advancement of education and to promote life-long learning. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students, sophomores or beyond, currently enrolled in an accredited campus-based degree-granting institution of higher learning or currently enrolled, full-time graduate students; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA or C+ average. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.
Funds Avail.: $750 to $2,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit all the required application information. Deadline: April 15 for the undergraduates' applications; August 15 for graduates' applications.
Alpha Kappa Alpha - Educational Advancement Foundation Merit Scholarships (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial support to undergraduate and graduate students for the advancement of education and to promote life-long learning. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be full-time and currently enrolled undergraduate students with at least sophomore standing at an accredited campus-based degree-granting institution or full-time and currently enrolled graduate students at an accredited campus-based degree-granting institution. Both must possess a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic achievement and demonstrated community service and involvement.
Funds Avail.: $1,000 to $2,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit all the required application information. Deadline: April 15 for undergraduates' applications; August 15 for graduates' applications.
Youth Partners Accessing Capital (P.A.C.) (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide financial support to undergraduate and graduate students for the advancement of education and to promote life-long learning. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; at least college sophomores who have a minimum 3.0 of GPA. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on demonstrated exceptional academic achievement; financial need; and leadership or volunteerism in civic or campus activities.
Funds Avail.: $1,000 up to $3,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit all the required application information. Deadline: April 15.
