Woodroffe, Edward

Woodroffe, Edward (c.1622–75). English architect and surveyor. After the Great Fire of London (1666) he was appointed (with Hooke and Wren) as one of the three Surveyors to rebuild the City churches. He assisted Wren from 1668 at St Paul's Cathedral and in 1670 designed houses in Amen Court, St Paul's, for the Residentiary Canons.
