Nolli, Giovanni Battista

Nolli, Giovanni Battista (c.1701–1756). Italian surveyor, typographer, and architect, he prepared the plan of Rome that was an accurate and full survey of Antique remains. He designed Santa Dorotea in Trastévere (1751–6), with a concave façade of monumental gravity, and interior of deceptive simplicity.
