Levasseur Family. Noël (1680–1740) and his cousin Pierre-Noël Levasseur (1690–1770) were French designers and craftsmen working in Quebec, Canada. They carried out the altars, retables, and architectural sculptures for the Chapel of the Ursuline Convent in Quebec (1726–36), for which the architect was the Parisian François de Lajoüe (c.1656–c.1719). The high-altar of the Church of St-François-de-Sales, Île d'Orléans, Quebec (1734–6), was designed and made by François-Noël Levasseur (1703–94).
