Jewell, Richard Roach

Jewell, Richard Roach (1810–96). English-born architect, he settled in Western Australia (1852), where he became foreman then Supervisor of Public Works. He designed many public buildings in Perth, including the Court House and Gaol (1854), Pensioner's Barracks (1863), Trinity Church (1864), Town Hall (1867), the Old Treasury (1874), and the Girls' School (1877).
