Drummond, Sir Jack Cecil
Drummond, Sir Jack Cecil (1891–1953) British nutritional biochemist. Scientific adviser to the UK Ministry of Food during the Second World War; responsible for increasing the extraction rate of flour from 72 to 85%, so improving the nutritional value of the diet and reducing imports. Murdered while camping in France, a mystery that has not been solved.
