Anreith, Anton

Anreith, Anton (1754–1822). German-born architect, sculptor, and woodcarver, who settled in Cape Colony, South Africa (1776), bringing South-German Rococo to the region. He built the less successful Neo-Classical façade of the Lutheran Church, Cape Town.
