Film director, film producer, and writer. Walt Disney Studios, animator trainee, then animator; freelance filmmaker for films and commercials; Laika Entertainment House (formerly Vinton Studios), Portland, OR, supervising director for feature film development, beginning 2004. Film work includes stop-motion animation director of The Nightmare before Christmas, 1993, James and the Giant Peach, 1996, Monkeybone, 2001, The Life Aquatic, 2004, Moongirl, 2005, and Coraline.
