Environmental Health Officer (EHO) (in-vyr-ŏn-men-tăl) n. a person, employed by a local authority, who has special training in such aspects of environmental health and pollution as housing, sanitation, food, clean air, and water supplies (formerly known as a Public Health Inspector).
