endarteritis
endarteritis (end-ar-ter-I-tis) n. chronic inflammation of the inner portion of the wall of an artery, which most often results from late syphilis. Thickening of the wall produces progressive arterial obstruction and symptoms from reduced blood supply to the affected part.
