PERSONAL:
Born October 8, 1914, in New York, NY; died 1972; son of Thomas S. Whitecloud; children: Thomas St. Germain Whitecloud III. Education: Graduated from University of Redlands; Tulane School of Medicine, M.D.
CAREER:
Physician, writer, and lecturer. Worked as Indian Service doctor in MT and MN; private practitioner, as county coroner, deputy sheriff, and chief of county hospital in TX; and private practitioner and consultant to Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, in Picayune, MS. Had previously worked on a farm and as a truck driver, mechanic, handyman, and boxer. Military service: Served in World War II for more than two years as a battalion surgeon with U.S. paratroopers in Europe.
