Born November 5, 1955, in Ennistymon, Ireland; son of Jimmy (a farmer) and Monsie (a homemaker; maiden name, Sullivan) Stack; children: Aindrias, Eamon, Roisin, Jamie. Ethnicity: "Irish." SIDELIGHTS:

Eddie Stack told CA: "I try to write every day and no longer wait for divine inspiration, just plough ahead. I am very influenced by the Irish oral tradition of storytelling, and my native country has flavored my stories. Most of the short fiction I read is South American."
