SIDELIGHTS: Steven Rinehart grew up in a military family overseas, then attended college in Hawaii and Iowa. His debut publication is a collection of stories titled Kick in the Head. Christine DeZelar-Tiedman, reviewing the book in Library Journal, called it "an engaging debut collection of short stories." A reviewer in Publishers Weekly stated, "In applying chaos theory to the emotional life of modern men, he reveals with striking clarity their lingering failures and small triumphs."
Rinehart has taught fiction writing at New York University and is a graduate of the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop.
