SIDELIGHTS:
On her Web site, Patricia Lewin told fans, "My first love has always been books … it wasn't until I'd been working at IBM about seven years that the writing bug hit again." Lewin attended a writer's workshop in Orlando and she says "that weekend changed my life." She began writing as much as she could. It took five years before she sold her first book and when that happened she quit IBM and started writing full-time. Lewin has written under the pseudonyms Patricia Keelyn and Pat Van Wie.
Blind Run is Lewin's first stab at writing a thriller. The novel features Ethan Decker, a special "hunter" for the CIA. He works undercover to capture international fugitives. When one of the missions goes wrong Decker's young son is killed by an assasin. In order to protect his wife, Decker must leave her and exile himself in New Mexico. In a review for Booklist Patty Engelmann claimed, "Lewin's taut thriller is filled with hair-raising car chases and complex double crosses."
