CAREER:

Writer. Damaged Freight (string band), performer; leader of historical walking tours. Taught American history, environmental history, and environmental studies at University of Vermont, Rutgers University, University of Oklahoma, and Ramapo College of New Jersey. Director of Audubon Society wildlife refuge in Rhode Island, c. 1979.
