SIDELIGHTS: Jeffrey W. Cody told CA: "I write to focus, clarify, cohere, and stimulate. I try to write as often and consistently as I can, but other realities sometimes intrude and I can't maintain a daily rhythm. I read widely, both in my field—architectural and urban history—and in other fields—fiction and journalism particularly. I have been engaged in understanding architecture and history for about twenty-five years, and by writing about those topics I feel even more engaged in them. Travel and experiencing architecture is also a sparking stimulus for me."
