SIDELIGHTS:
Joyce A. Cayson told CA: "As an author and ordained minister, I have intensively researched the scriptures for nearly twenty years, including the translations from both Greek and Hebrew. I did not initially set out to discover the directly stated scriptural identity of beings currently reported to be visiting earth in luminous, circular craft.
"As other Christians, I ignored these reports, believing the Bible had nothing to say on this matter. But through my research, I soon discovered that the word 'ignore' is a shortened form of the word 'ignorance,' meaning devoid of knowledge, and that the Bible reveals the entire purpose for these visitations. God, who created everything in heaven, has not failed to identify these visitors; man has failed to see their scriptural identity.
"Many books have been written on the subject of UFOs and the Bible, yet not one of them has revealed their directly stated scriptural identity. Man has theorized about these creatures for centuries. Many of the theories were derived from ambiguous sounding scripture such as verses describing the pillar of cloud, the pillar of fire, and the burning bush, while speculating that these events could have been extraterrestrial contacts with ancient people of the Bible.
"However, this is not what the Bible reveals. Concerning the identity of beings that visit earth in wheels of fire, no interpretation is required. The prophets plainly state: these creatures are! There's nothing ambiguous about directly stated identities!
"Theories raise more questions than they answer. But after years of research, I discovered their identity in the scriptures, and no other book on UFOs contains this information. That is why I wrote The Coming: The Bible's Identity of So-called UFOs. I let the Bible itself reveal the answer, without presenting theory or personal interpretation. The Coming is an in-depth, greatly detailed resource on this phenomenon, with all facts backed up by translations from Strong's Concordance. "
