PERSONAL: Born September 29, 1867, in Monte-cello, IN; died September 10, 1939, in Palm Beach, FL; son of Michael and Abbie (Schnitzer) Biederwolf; married Ida Casad, 1896. Education: Attended Wabash College; Princeton University, B.A., 1892, M.A., 1894; Princeton Theological Seminary, theology degree, 1895; also attended University of Berlin and University of Erlangen between 1895 and 1897.
CAREER: Ordained Presbyterian minister, 1897; pastor of Presbyterian church in Logansport, IN, 1897-1900; Presbyterian evangelist preacher, beginning 1900; Royal Poincianna Chapel, West Palm Beach, FL, pastor, beginning 1929. Winona Lake Bible Conference, director, 1922; Winona Lake Bible School of Theology, president, 1933; Winona Lake Publishing Co., founder. Wartime service: Spanish-American War, chaplain, 1899; served in Cuba.
