Zöller, Karlheinz
Zöller, Karlheinz, German flutist; b. Höhr-Grenz-hausen, Aug. 24,1928. He was educated at the Frankfurt am Main Hochschule für Musik and the Northwest German Music Academy in Detmold. In 1947 he won 1stprize in the German radio competition in Frankfurt am Main; then was active as a recitalist and chamber player. Zöller was 1st flutist with the Berlin Phil. (1960-69). After a series of concert appearances in Europe and America, he rejoined the Berlin Phil. in 1977.
