Vitalini, Alberico
Vitalini, Alberico, Italian conductor and composer; b. Rome, July 18, 1921. He studied at the Santa Cecilia Cons, in Rome, obtaining diplomas in violin (1940), viola (1942), composition (1944), and conducting (1945). He subsequently became active mainly as a conductor; in 1950, was appointed director of musical programs of Radio Vaticana; in 1973, was nominated a member of the Accademia Internazionale de Propaganda Culturale. He specialized in sacred choral music.
