Tariol-Baugé, Anne
Tariol-Baugé, Anne, French singer; b. Clermont-Ferrand, Aug. 28, 1872; d. Asnières, near Paris, Dec. 1, 1944. She made her operatic debut in Bordeaux, then went to Russia. Returning to France, she sang in Toulouse and Nantes, then settled in Paris, where she appeared mainly in light opera. She sang the title role at the premiere of Messager’s opera Véronique at the Bouffes-Parisiens (Dec. 10, 1898); distinguished herself especially in Offenbach’s operettas. She was married to the baritone Alphonse Baugé.
