Syberg, Franz (Adolf)
Syberg, Franz (Adolf), Danish organist and composer; b. Kerteminde, July 5, 1904; d. there, Dec. 11, 1955. His father was the painter Fritz Syberg. He took courses with Karg-Elert in Leipzig (1923-28) and studied organ with Peter Thomson in Copenhagen (organists’ examination, 1932); then returned to Kerteminde as an organist. His small but finely crafted output was influenced by Nielsen.
