Soltys, Mieczyslaw
Soltys, Mieczyslaw, Polish conductor, teacher, and composer, father of Adam Soltys; b. Lemberg, Feb. 7, 1863; d. there (Lwów), Nov. 12, 1929. He studied in Lemberg and Paris. Returning to Lemberg in 1899, he was director of the Cons. and of the Musical Society; also wrote music criticism.
