Sohal, Naresh (Kumar)

Sohal, Naresh (Kumar), Indian composer; b. Harsipind, Punjab, Sept. 18, 1939. He took courses in science and mathematics at Punjab Univ. In 1962 he settled in England and pursued training in harmony and counterpoint at the London Coll. of Music (1965) and in composition with Jeremy Dale Roberts (1965–66). He then conducted research on micro-intervals under Alexander Goehr.
