Rosier, Carl
Rosier, Carl , Flemish violinist and composer; b. Liège, Dec. 26, 1640; d. Cologne, before Dec. 12, 1725. He became a violinist at the Bonn electoral court about 1664, and subsequently was Vice-Kapellmeister. He went to Cologne in 1675, but was also active as a violinist in Holland from about 1683 to 1699; was appointed Kapellmeister of the Cologne Cathedral in 1699 and also of the city in 1701. He was an accomplished composer of instrumental music.
