Rollin, Jean , French composer; b. Paris, Aug. 3, 1906; d. Bayeux, Calvados, Aug. 30, 1977. He studied composition at the Paris Cons. with N. Gallon, and musicology with Pirro and Masson. His works included Concerto for Piano and Strings (1947), Violin Concerto (1950), Double Bass Concerto (1951), 2 syms. (1953, 1958), Gringoue, opera (1965), chamber music, and songs.
