Raoul de Soissons

Raoul de Soissons , French trouvère; b. c. 1212; d. c. 1270. He was a son of Count Raoul le Bon of Soissons. In 1232 he became Sire de Coeuvres. He was active in the crusades, and married Queen Alix of Cyprus. He apparently died while in the retinue of the French king on the Second Crusade. A few of his chansons are extant.
