Ramboušek, Joseph , Czech double-bass virtuoso and pedagogue; b. Mníšek, Nov. 16, 1845; d. Moscow, March 10, 1901. He studied with Josef Hrabět at the Prague Cons.; went to Moscow, where he was engaged as a double-bass player at the Opera and taught at the Phil. Inst. Among his pupils was Koussevitzky.
