Quattrini, Jan Ludwik

Quattrini, Jan Ludwik , Italian conductor; b. Brescia, May 13, 1822; d. Warsaw, April 10, 1893. He received training at the Milan Cons. After working as a bandmaster in Italy and in Berlin (1839–43), he settled in Warsaw and was a conductor at the Opera from 1845 to 1891. He also had his own singing school, and from 1891 was music director of the Piarists’s Church.
