Pizzarelli, John (Paul Jr.) , jazz guitarist, singer; b. Paterson, N.J., April 6, 1960. A swing-styled guitarist like his father, Bucky Pizzarelli (b. Paterson, N.J., Jan. 9, 1926), his stylish Sinatra-like singing has brought him a wide audience. He was marketed similarly to Harry Connick and, like him, toured with a swing big band. His brother Martin has played bass with him for over 18 years. He has performed with Zoot Sims and Ray Brown. In 1997, he played Carnegie Hall with his father. He regularly performs at the Algonquin, N.Y.
