Norby, Erik
Norby, Erik, Danish composer; b. Copenhagen, Jan. 9, 1936. He studied with Kayser at the Royal Danish Cons, of Music in Copenhagen (diploma in composition and theory, 1966) and with Nrgârd at the Jutland Cons. He taught at the Alborg Cons, until 1975. His music reveals deft handling of styles ranging from the late Romantic to Darmstadt schools.
