Nemescu, Octavian

Nemescu, Octavian, Romanian composer; b. Pascani, March 29, 1940. He studied with Jora, Mendelsohn, Vieru, Ciortea, Vancea, and Paul Constantinescu at the Bucharest Cons. (1956–63), and also attended the summer courses of new music held in Darmstadt (1972). He devoted himself to composing and teaching. In his output, he pursued an advanced course.
