Milanuzzi, Carlo, Italian organist and composer; b. Sanatoglia, date unknown; d. c. 1647. He became an Augustinian monk, serving as organist at the order’s church in Perugia in 1619. After serving as maestro di cappella at S. Eufemia in Verona (1622–23), he was organist at Venice’s S. Stefano (1623–29) and at Finale di Modena (1629–34?). In 1636 he was maestro di cappella at Camerino Cathedral, and in 1643 at S. Mauro, Noventa di Piave, where he also was organist. He was also active as a poet. His 9 vols, of secular monody (Venice, 1620–43) are particularly notable. He also publ. 10 vols. of sacred vocal music (Venice, 1619–47).
