Listov, Konstantin
Listov, Konstantin, Russian composer; b. Odessa, Sept. 19, 1900; d. Moscow, Sept. 6, 1983. He learned music by ear, then studied piano in Tsaritsin and in Saratov. In 1923 he went to Moscow and began to write music for the theater. His Red Army song Tachanka became immensely popular. He also wrote a Sym. in commemoration of the centennial of Lenin (1970).
