Laurenti, Bartolomeo Girolamo

Laurenti, Bartolomeo Girolamo, Italian violinist and composer; b. Bologna, c. 1644; d. there, Jan. 18, 1726. He spent his entire life in his native city. After studying violin with Gaibrara, he was a violinist at the Basilica San Petronio until 1706. He was one of the earliest members of the Accademia Filarmonica. He publ. 12 Suonata per camera a violino e violoncello (Bologna, 1691) and Sei concerti a tre, cioè violino, violoncello ed organo (Bologna, 1720). One of his sonatas also was publ. in a collection by C. Buffagnotti (c. 1700).
