Lambillotte, Louis
Lambillotte, Louis, French organist, composer, and writer on music; b. Charleroi, Hainaut, March 27, 1796; d. Vaugirard, Feb. 27, 1855. He was an organist at Charleroi, then at Dinant. In 1822 he became maître de chapelle at the Jesuit Seminary at St.-Acheul, joining the order in 1825. He subsequently settled in Vaugirard. He wrote 4 masses (one in the Lydian mode), other sacred music, organ pieces, fugues, etc.
