Knap, Rolf, Dutch composer; b. Amsterdam, Oct. 17, 1937. He studied oboe at the Amsterdam Cons., took private composition lessons with Karel Mengelberg, and then studied electronic music at the Inst. of Sonology of the Univ. of Utrecht. He was an orch. oboist (1960-67), and then taught oboe.
