Ifukllbe, Akira, Japanese composer; b. Kushiro, March 7, 1914. As a young man, he was trained in forestry. He then took lessons from Alexander Tcherepnin. His music is rooted in Japanese modalities, but he adorns them with impressionistic harmonies.
