Hillborg, Anders

Hillborg, Anders, Swedish composer and teacher; b. Stockholm, May 31, 1954. He received training in counterpoint (1976–78) and in composition (from Bucht, 1978-82) at the Stockholm Musikhögskolan; also had lessons from Feldman in Buffalo (1980). He was a prof, of composition at the Malmö Musikhögskolan (from 1989). He has pursued an inventive road as a composer, utilizing both traditional and non-traditional styles.
